In their Weekly Shore Report, dated Hongkong, Friday, March 18, Mears Bonjamin, Kelly and Poté state-

Business hua been fairly briak and the activity in the market reported in our inst circular has been maintained.

Banks-Hongkong and Shanghai Tanks,

havo ruled firm with amall sales at 321 per cent, promium, cash. On time shares aro wanted at botter than equivalent rates. Nationals are firm's $25 ex the dividend of 81.30 per share paid on the 12th instant. Marine Insurances-Unions have been sold at $230. China Traders have been

placed in small lota and are wanted at 862.

Tanglezes are steady at 8130,

Five Tusunces-Hongkong and Chins Fires have declined to 5 and 850 rupee tively, owing to losses sustained through the destruction of Jardine, Mathosumi's Go- down in Shanghai and the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank premises in Pekin.

Shipping Hongkong Cantan and M2000 Steamboats rendbed to 1281 sales, but ata again firmer with ales and buyera at $29. Indo-Chinss have been fixed at 800 and 201, China and Marilas have changed hands at 8120. Douglas Stoumships have boon in some demand and sales have been Bacted at $50 and $51. Star Forries have ruled firm with sales at 318 and $131.

Refiners-Chian Sugars have been dealt in fairly extensively at $143 and $145, and close quiet at $138.
