The vessel was built at the yard of Bichm and Voss, of Hamburg, and is expecially fitted for the Far Bostern trado. She has a carrying capacity of 6,000 tons dood weight, or about 8,000 of sargo. It is stated that she showed herself to be a fast boat on her trial run,
