Lobengula is in full retreat,, pursued by Majora Adams and Forbes. The British columns have occupied Euluwayo, their |losses are slight, The Caps Govertiment, have asked Sir Henry B. Look to telegraph Lord Ripon that the Chartered Company, through the medium of the Hon. Degil J. Ehodes, should, sottle with the Matabeles, subject to control of the Secretary of State.
THE KEPEAL OF THE SHERMAN ACT.
The House of Representatives at Wash. ingten having passed the repeal, that was adopted by the Senate, by one hundred and ninety-one votaz to ninety-four, Pre- sident Cleveland signed forthwith. The Bill diffare from the House of Representa- tires monauro inasmuch ́as it commits the Government to bimetalliam whenever samp is feasible.
