THE CRISIS IN FRANCE.
MADAME Korf's 'erncert in St Andrew's Hall last night called together a fairly large andience, anobg whom were His Ex- callensy the Governor and Lady Des Vienx. The programme, as regards ita general character, was pretty much tho some as that submitted at the first concert, a week ago. One change was vocal sole by a well-known amateur, Mr Greig, which- mot with cordial approval. Madama Korff, however, hardly gave her com paratively good audience of yesterday LONDON, February, 16th. The ministry has resigned owing to thoping a treat of such high quality as that enjoyed by the handful of people who Chamber of Deputies haring voted the attended her first concert, whatever the nase may have been. Still, she gave adjournment of the debate apon the revi
abundant proof of first-cats ability as so creoutant, and of a highly cultured method. The audience were by no means slow to express their appreciation of Ma dama Korff's playing, but, singularly enough, the one unmistakable' encore' of the evening was elicited by the vocal solo she gàve. She did not yield to the appeal, as, we think, she might well have done, Several thousands of people astonitled in considering the shortness of the pro- Hyde Park yesterday in spite of a heavy gramme and the evident sincerity of tho snowstorm, to protest against the treat-desire on the part of the audience to hear ment of Mr O'Brien in Clonmel gaol.
