Tux Comercio of Manila, of the 2nd instant, says:-The Gorman barque F. R. Draos, of 624 tons register, on a voyage from Van. couter to Shanghai, was caught in a ty- phoon on the 15th Dec, last, while 800 miles from Caroline Islands, and foundered the following day. The Captain and crow reached Yep in boats, from whence they came to Manila on board the Don Juan. Thean are the shipwrecked people which we mentioned a few days ago.
As will be seen from an advertisement in another column, the Masonic Ball has been postponed till the 25th inst., owing to the death of Admiral Chandler. We think this is driving ceremonious respect to an extrome; but the Governor thinks other wise, and all the arrangementa for to-mor- row night had to be disorganised at a great expense. The Concert for the benefit of 83 the Soldiers' and Sailors Ald Association was fixed for the 5th, but the Ladies* Committee of that Association have kind- ly given up the night for the Ball, and postponed their Concert for two days, till Wednesday, the 27th.
