NOTICE Norton Br, The, I wo Diago TOTICE is hereby given that on or about
TION LIGHTS will be exhibited to mark the channel over the bar at the Entrance oi Tamsui Harbour.
HOR LIGHT.
The laminating Apparatus will be lixod, dioptric, of the fth order, showing a White Light from 8. 52 E. round by East to N. 681 E.
The Light Pillar will be situated on the Jill to the North of the harbour about 400 yards in a 8, 80 E. direction from the Rod Fort, and will have a total height of 35 foot from base to vano.
The Light will be elevated 142 feet above High water and should be visible in clear weather at a distance of 10 nautical miles,
The Pilar and Lantern will be painted white.
Low LIGHT.
The Illuminating Apparatus will be fixed. dioptrio, of the 6th order, sluseing a gre light from s. 50 to S. 84° E. a white light from S. 84°E to N. E. and a red light from N. 8° E. to N. G1 E.
The Light Tower, constructot of iron, will take the place of the white banco (30. 26 of the list of Chinaso Beacons for 1888) and will be situated 1,930 yards N. 80 W. | from the Red Fort. It will be-45 foot in height from its bran High water to its crown, and the light will bo 3 feet above high water. In clear weather it abould bo visible in the white acotor at a distance of 6 miles
The Tower and Lantern will be painted white.
The Bearings are magnetic and taken
from seaward.
The Bar is unbject to occasional change owing to freshots, but the two lighte, when kopt in one line. will indicate the bet channel for crossing when the bar is in its normal atate.
Buoys.
The Southern Bar Buoy, paintad red, will be moved about two cables in a direction from its present post- southerly tinn, to bring it within the red sector of the low light, and will be monored in 26 feet at Law water spring tides. The Northern Bar Buoy, painted back, will be moved about a cable to the Northward of its
