& Co. Yesterday evening, shout seron o'clook the defendant, who was not sober, came to his house and pointed the loaded rovolver now in Court at him. He caught defendant's hand and asked what was the matter. Defendant admitted the charge.
The Magistrate ordered him to find two sureties of 800 each to be of good behaviour for six months, or in default to be commit tad for two weeks, the revolver to be confiscated.
Ar the Police Court to-day, the two Chi- nese prisoners who escaped recently from the abain gang were committed for trial: at the Supreme Court Evidence was gyon by A Twoel, assistant turnkey, that the first prisoner was sentenced in November last to five years penal servitude and the second to the same.
