Of the three schools, he said, carried on by the Bisturs le one at the Convent was the English school, They had there at present 133 scholars and of these 6 were presented for examination, Of the ethers some were too young and some had not the 200 attendances required. He was assured by a trustee that their papers were vory good indeed.

In the Convent school as in the othor schools under the care of the sisters great importance was attached to needle-work. They considered that girl's education was not completed unless she could work with the needle as well as the pen. The needle-wacit in the school was on the whole very good. They were much indebted to Mrs Graurillo Sharp for the patience, mains, and impartiality aho bestowed in judging the needle werk. Besides English seroral other languages were taught at the Convent.
