NOTICE THE Wah Yat Po was Established in connection with the China Mail over ten years ago. The Business has hitharso been leased to Chiness. Since 1881 it has been leased to Mr. TAM YIK KIU, and the LEASE will EXPIRE on the 1st OF SEPTEMBER of this year after which the China Mail will take over the Business, and Luas it to Mr. No OSUNO SHANG under the tame Conditione as heretofore, but the Stat will all be Now. learned and famous Scholar has specially been engaged to take the position of Editor, and new arrange. ments will be rade so na to secure à grent improvement upon what the paper was

beford.

GENTLEMEN who have for years been subscribing to this paper may rest assured that the paper will come to them without intercapton and need make no change in regard to it. Referring to the Accounts with this Office for the insertion of Notices and for Subscriptions to the Paper, &c., all Debts due to him up to the lar of Serrazer will be caltacted by the Old Lessee Mr. TAM YIE K; and after the IT OF SEPTEMBER, they will be collected by the New Leases Mr. Ho CnUNG SHANG. This is the usual practice in such cases, and Subscribera are earnestly requested to take the necesary note of the Change of Lesser Bo as to avoid any mistake in payment.

Thero has hitherto been only one Wah Tax Yat Fo, the Orvice of which is situated nt No. 3, Wyndham Stroet, and it has 0 Branch Office in any other place.

Fusitresa" ia opened in the new house, the name will be changod, and it will ho styled Wah T Fsit Po,&a, &a. This statement is ambiguous, bat it is evident that the intention is to imicate the name of this office, and indeed thereby it may casily mislead the readers. Now as Mr. TAM YIX Kre is a Lessee, he may say that the terms of his lesso has ex- pired, unt is is impossible for han to say the Isase of this office will soon expire, for the true sense of MT. TAM YIK KIU's statement would be The Lease of the House occu- pied by this fies will soon expiro, and, consequently, it will be removed to another house. And besides, bo says the name of this Odios will be changed and it will be styled Wah Taz Tait Po. From enigmatic Language like this it requives a clear sighted Thato nd out the truth.
