A. S. McDonald said that at 8 a.m. on the 20th inst., when the Fuh Yueng acrived From Dauton, he cleared the wharf and counted the passengers, of whom thera wore 41. The steamer's registered nura- ber was 590. There wore a great many children whom he counted as two for one. and Conditions,
Captain Witt, maator of tho Wah Yueng, stated that according te his compradore's bouk he carried on that trip 501 passengers, and a Chinese crow of 22. They made no charge for children,
