We are glad to learn that the subscription for Mr Jacobsen (formerly escond officer of the steamer Greyhound) now amounts lo ra ther more than 800. The Manager of the: Temperance Hall (fr Carpenter) and Mr Brown (formerly chief officer of the Wah Yeung) deserve grist credit for their efloria in forwarding this worthy object. The owners have granted Mr Jacobeon -free passage home by the Denbighshire, which loaren tius in a day or two; and blesses Adamson, Boll & Co. have further under taken to collect and forward any some which may be received after Mr Jacobsen's departure. Mr Jacobson desires to thank the owners, and those who have to the appeal made on his behalf, for the kindness shown to him throughout.
