Hopson's Surprise Party gave last night at the Theatre Royal, City Hall, another very successful performance, at which there was, unfortunately, not a large house. The array of empty benches, however, in no way damped the ardour of the occupants of the stage, who were në artistic, as clever and as funny as they have hitherto proved themselves. The applause was loud and long on every occasion, and the encores were numerous. Save one or two songs, given before, which were loudly called for in the encores, the programme was an en-

tire change. The Company, we note from advertisement, have arranged to give two nights at Macao instasil of une, as was originally intended. This would seem as if the Macao people were going in, in earnest, for the enjoyment of the trest, rare them, of a really good Variety" Company Every member of the Troupe works hard and works well, and they deserve to sus ceed.
