In the following Statements and Tables the Rates are given 10 cents, and are, for Lettors, per haif ouare, for Books and Fatterus, per fie onnces.

1. Small Parcels may be sent by Post between any of the Post Offices in China or Japan, as well as to Macao, Pak- hoi, Singapore, Penang, And Malacca. They must not exceed the following dimen sicos, 2 feet long, 1 fout broad, 1 foot deep, not with more than 5lbs. The postage will be 20 cents per lb., which will include Registration. The parcels may be wholly closed if they bear this special endorse- mout, FARCEL, CONTAINING NO LETTER, but any pares may he opened by direction of the Postmaster General.
2. The following cannot be transmitted: Parcels insufficiently packed or protected, or liable to ba crushed (as bandboxes, Co.) Glass, Liquids, Explosive substances, Matobes, Indigo, Dyestuffs, Meat, Fieb, Game, Fruit, Vegetables, or whatever is dangerous to the Maile, or likely to be- come offensive or Injarious in transit.
