The German steamer Atalanta reports: Left Holhow on the 27th at 7 a.m. Arrived in Hongkong on the 28th at noon; had fine weather for the first part of voyage, latter part squally.
The British steamer Rajana'tianukar re- porta: First part experienced light vari- able wlods to Cape Padaran, from thence to port moderate monsoon with fine clear weather throughout.
The British steamer Brisbane reports: Light S.E. winds and cloudy-s_heavy southerly swell throughout the passage.
The British steamer Tottung reports: Light easterly winds and fine weather.
The British ship Star of China reports: Left Newcastle with light southerly winds, came in between Bougainville and New Ireland, crossed line in 149 E. on the 4th August, had light 5, winds in N. Paside. From 12th to 18th, had very clear weather,
