THE TAI WAN MURDER CASE,
THE IRISONER CONVICTED AND SENTENCED
TO DEATH.
Li Pak Wong, a middle-aged, sallen-look- ing fellow, who never lifted his eyes from the ground the whole day, was charged with the murder of one Tsang Asan (alias Tan Fa San) on the 4th July.
The Acting Attorney General, Hon. J. Russoll, instructed by the Crown Soliator, Mr E. Sharp, prosecuted, and the prisoner was defended by Mr Hayllar, Q C., Lostruct od by Mr Dannya.
The following jury was empanelled :--- Messrs J. B. Coughtric, C. P. Chater, J. A. dos Remedios, A. Coxon, W. B. Forbes, Lud. Beyer, and W. H. Ray,
The Acting Attorney General in opening the case said the prisoner was indicted for murder, believed to have been committed at Hang Ham on the 4th July. Hung Ham, as they know, was the Chinese for the Kowloon Docks on the other aide. The question of jurisdiction would be alearly enough proved to them.
