Letters from Professor Nordenskjold, on board the Swedish Arctic Exploring steamer Vega, have reached Sweden. The extracts from their contents already published some weeks ago are incorrect, inasmuch that the energetic and gallant explorer has not ex- pressed any hope of getting free from the foo in May, but only by the commencement. of July. He hopes to reach Japan in August. The fears about the safety of the expedition, which have again arisen of late, may therefore be regarded as unfounded.
