The British barque Harel Holme reporta: Having left Port Pirie (S. Australia) on 7th of June with a strong N.W. wind, had a continuance of same and Westerly gales through Basses Straits and until the 17th, when weather moderated; on the 18th sighted Norfolk Island; with moderate South-westerly winds and fine weather, on the 22nd sighted Hunter Teland fu lat. 22.28 S., loug. 172.08 E.; from thence had light N.E. and Northerly winds with ooca- sional squalls and heavy rain til 26th July, when the S. W. monsoon set in strong with a terribly high and confused sca, and very heavy squalls, with thunder, lightning and deluges of rain. On the 1st instant sighted Camiquia in the Babayan Group, and from thence till sighting the Ladrones on the 6th at 4 p.m., had strong winds from Wost to South and constant heavy rain, nevor having bad a sight of the sun in the passage across the China Sea. Engaged a pilot at 1 a.m. on morning of the 7th, and anchored at 4 30 p.m., making the passage in 60 days. Beyond a few sails split the vessel has sustained no damage.

day, July 5th; entered the Canal 8:15 a.m. Day before departure, on Sunday July 6th, and arrived at Suez on Monday, July 7th, 4.30 p.m.; had light following wind in the Red Bea, with intense heat.
