A NEW steamor which, as regards tonnage, zanke next to the Great Eastern, and is the largest vessel ever built on the Clyde, bas been launched by Messrs. Elder. The dimensions of this steamer are:-Length, 460 ft.; breadth, 48 ft. 6 in.; depth, 37 ft. 8 in; tonnage, 6,400 tons. Engines-three cylinders, one of 60 and two of 85, with 5 ft. stroke, the horse-power being 5,400. Her displacement at loud draft will be over 9,500 tons, white her boilers are by far the largest ever constracted by Messrs. Elder and Co. She is fitted for 130 saloon, 180 second saloon, and 800 third-class, or steerage passengers. The saloon on the main deck, intended for a dining saloon, is forward of the engines and boilers, and is of the square form, being 44 ft. by 44 ft.,
