Cholera is also reported by the Conquest from Haiphong, and that vessel now flies a yellow flag. We cannot say she has been. quarantined, for her cargo of pigs and the Paswongera were distributed over the Co- lony even before the Health Officer got on board. It might have been expected that the Captain would have signalled for the Health Officer, and not have anchored in mid-harbour, under such circumstances, There is certainly no sickness on board; but the farce of quarantine having now beon gone through may be taken as a proof that some precautions were ne cossary.
