Weiberg la charged with stealing 6000 sovereigns from the P. & O. steamer Avoca, and Pearce with barbouring and maintaining Walberg, knowing him to have committed the offence. Detective Edelson, who has returned from Waratah Bay, has recovered a further sum of gold, which he found planted near where Weiberg was captured. He also recovered Welberg's gun, revolver, da, which he found planted in the scrub.
