A vase came before Mr Justice Snowden, sitting in Summary Jurisdiction, to-day, fa which Messrs Meyer & Co. mod the Hangs kong, Canton and Macao Steamboat Come pany for the value of some 15 tons of coal, part of a lot which they had sold to the defendants. It would appear that the coal was weighed into defsudants, godown, and they allege that they received short delivery. The scales were tested by Inspector Orley. and found to be defective.
