H. of the East end of the Island known as the Chiang-Hain-Sai, which is in the middle of the River oppo- site the North Wall of the City.
The BEACON conniste of a POLE, 15 inches in diameter, painted Black and White Alternate Bands, on which is fixed & BALL, & feet in diameter, painted Black with a Horizontal White Band round the Centre.
The top of the Pole is 24 foot above H. W. Springs. The Centre of the Ball is 15 feet above H. W. Springs,
