As to the allegation that our conimenta on the case were, dictated by private malice, it will be a suflicient reply to say that they were written in the usual routine of business by the editor of this journal, whose know. ledge of Mr Wardlaw, or of any of the other parties in the affair, was entirely derived from the Directory.
