Chu Wong v. Marques, Junr., $95.75.- This was a claim for balanse of amount due on account of certain articles of furni ture supplied. The plaintiff is a furniture dealer, and the defendant an assistant at Mesars Sayle & Col's. The defendant denied liability on the ground that the amount he had already paid was more than appears that the plaintiff had agreed to the value of the goode he had received. It

supply certain articles of furniture for $225, and the defendant at the time the contract was made paid $125 as bargain money and subsequently $80 mora. The goods were not according to contract, and the amount already paid, the defendant urged, was more than they are worth. The case was referred to the arbitration of Ahoo, a carpenter in Wellington Street. Mr Dennys appeared for the defendant.

Jadgment was entered for the plaintiff in the case of Wong Ayung and another J. Kennedy, which was a claim for $88.80, for work and labour done.
