After evidence was taken, the prisonem were acquitted by a majority of 4 to 8:

Regina v Chow Atim The prisoner was charged with breaking into the godown of one Fang Ying Shun on the 14th March, and stealing therefrom one blanket, four bags of rice, and other things. He pleaded guilty to this Indictment, as also to one for three former convictions. Sentence deferred.
