Cheung Teo Kiu, a servant unemployed, was charged by Inspector Cameron with robbery under the following direncastances, The defendant, who had no employment. was the friend of the cook to the officers at the Kowloong Barracks, where he had been vig for the last ten days. A report was made last evening at 8.80 o'clock by a letter from one of the officers, and P.O. No. 74, Barker, was sent to the barracke. He returned with the defendant. At the Station the defendant made a statement to the effect that two men came by appointment to the servants' quarters at the Barracks, and he opened the door to receive them. He removed the clothing and the cooking utensils, put them into one box and handed it to the two men, who carried it away.
