There has been a somewhat serious out- break on the part of a section of the crew of the Alexandra, now with the Mediterranean fleet. Great discontent is said to prevail on board, owing to excessive drill and severity of punishment. The watch, which had been kept hard at work on deck about the saila on a Surday, wore ordered in the afternoon to get up ashes from the stokehole. The men als affirm that the captain ordered all the private provisions of their messes to be. thrown overboard. They all refused to bring up the ashes, and the watch were made prisoners, but not till after the sights of the guns had been thrown overboard, and some of the live stook of the officers. Four of the ringleaders have been sentenced to forty-two days' imprisonment, and have been sat home. There has been consider- ablo exaggeration in the reports of the orourience, which has been sensationally described as a "autiny," The facts are as above stated, the outbreak being confined to the watch in which it originated.

Transactions in our Tea market during the past fortnight have been on a more moderate scale, the demand for Sconted Teas having in a great measure fallen off

Congous. An active enquiry has existed, and settlements have been made on rather easier terms.

Scented Teas.Advices having been received, since the publication of our last report, of the unfavorable reception of the nex tess at home, lean anxiety has been displayed by buyers, and only a small business has resulted. The figures given below would indicate largor settlements of Capara than have actually taken place within the fortnight, the greater portion of the purchases baving been made, though not reported, before the close of last English: mail.

Common grades have been bought to a small extent at prices showing no alteration on former rates; in other kinds transactions have been very trifling; should the present quiet tone prevail we may look for a lower range of prices than has been hitherto current.

Pekoes have not attracted much atten- tion; "long leaf" kinds have been taken at Tis. 24 a 28, and purchaser are rather in favor of buyers, teamen having shown more willingness to sell; "new maken" have found buyers at former rates.
