TOTICE is hereby given to the Captains of Spanish and Foreign Ships starting for the Islands of Cuba and PORTO RICO that His Catholic Majesty's Government has again put in Force the 7th Rule of the Royal Decree of the 26th December, 1872, which has recently been revoked.
Consequently Captains and Superoazgoes are informed that on their arrival at any of
the Ports of the said Islands, they stall deliver to the Officers of the Custom House a Manifest duly certified by the Spanish Consul of the Port of Clearance or Depar ture, declaring whether the Ship is in ballest or giving a description of the Cargo that is on board.

The work is simply a collection of about a thousand English phrases and sentences with the sounds of their equivalents in Chinese represented on the opposite pages in English.
