During last mouth, 1,800 houses were broken into by robbers in Tokio, 288 of whom were arrested. The money stole by them amounted to 1,900 yen.
Two or three years ago the Kaitakushi ordered a large number of merchants in O-u to remove to Sapporo and advanced them money for their expenses. But now they have departed. Last year a certain number of shiku settled there under the promise of support by the Government for three years.
