The Panama Railroad Company have started. One of their steamers is now on the way from New York for the Pacifio. Speaking of this matter it is well to state that they have incorporated under the name of the Panama Transit Company," and in the routes over which they propose to work China and Japan are mentioned. This I anticipated in one of my previous letters. It will be some time yet however before everything will be straightened out, but, if no compromise is effected between them and the Pacifio Mail or Railroad people, you may depend that there will be warm work. Pacifio Mail is at present very low down. On 13th inst. it sold for 191, the lowest i believe it ever sold for. Yesterday it was at 228. It is generally understood here that it is but a question of a 'short time more with the Company. The railroad will take it all in assuming its responsibili tice and business.
