are so well known. From the names attached to the "Notes" we see that the contributors include some of the vest Chinese scholars in the East. It i terest is not contined to China, and it will be of valuable assistance to all scholars, ho have directed their attention towards the subject of Buddhism and its literature, and generally to all who are interested in ori ental antiquities. It deserves to be better known in India.
