The British steamer Douglas, Captain Toppin, from Foochow, amoy and owatow, reports experienced understa N.E.- wind. and fine all the way down. Passed Azof in River Min; Yesso was in Amoy, and Ganges in Swatow; passed a British barque of Waylan, with main and mizen maats gone.

The N. G. barque Cary and Jane, Capt. H. Jensen, reports left this port bound for Nagasaki, with a cargo of rice; on 6th Nov. experienced heavy typhoon from N.N.E. veering to N.N.W., with heavy sea, which lasted for 3 days, had several boats and ails carried away, and suffered otherdaninge to the ship. Ou 7th Nov. one aaaman was washed overboard but was recovered. Put beck for Hongkong.

The British barque Simshine, reporta Leaving Newchwang River on 3rd at 5 p.m. Fresh northerly winds with fine weather till repching the Barren lalands, in that lat experienced a very heavy gale from the Northward which continued for two whole
