The British steamer Ottawa, Capt. E. M. Edmond, reports left Shanghai 6th instant at 78. HL. Paesed M. L. str. Plass off Chingan bound up; 7.40 passed another steamer bound North; arrived in Amoy 8th at 1p.m., and Jeft at noon on the Dih; arrived in Swatow 11th at 5.10 p.m., ab- tored 24 hons between Amoy and Swa- tow for dense fogs.
