The British steamer Sukure, from Sings pore, reports atrong gales from N. E. and heavy head sea Passed a ship on 18th Dec., bound 8. Ou 9th Dec, the Mail stesther had not arived at Singapore.

The German barque Joachim Christian reports, crossed the Equator on 7th Septem- ber, in long 1050 W. passed the Meridian of the Cape of Good Hope on 6th Oct in cams to Gilalo passage on 2nd lat, 38. Dec.j bud fine weather and light N. E. wind until arrival at Hongkong on 19th Dec. 187 days ont. On 28th Nov, spoke the British barque Chanticleer from London bound to Ahoy; same day spoke the Kre- men barque Alida from Glasgow bound to Hongkong and the British ship Cissy froni London bound to Hongkung, and on kine day also spoke the American ship Laring Brown from Swansea bound to Yokoban.
