A ports of there countries, together with Peking, Yode, Hongkong, and Macao. It has been carefully compiled and edited by Mr N. B. Denrys and the elaborals mape and plaus, with which the work abounds, considerably enhance its value. **

We have thus given in outline some si the more prominent portions of the chapter devoted to Canton, as a specimen of the whole volume. Other chapters treating of Macao, Formosa, Nungpo, Shangle, and the remainder of the trouty ports, we can only anumerate.
