We have not space to detail their varied success; sullied it to say that upon the arrival of the Napalese envoy at Batang, a place 450 miles East of Hassa, these three missionaries appealed to hun for help and protection. They stated that in October 1885 their mission station had bean backed by order of the anthorities. at Lhassa and the missionaries and con verts made prisoners and carried to a small village called Truna,
