SHIPPING REPORTS,

The British ship Taeping, fron Saigon, reports to weather and light southerly winds during the first part of passage; the latter part had moderate weather and wind from E.S.S. until last night, when had fresh wind from East and rain. Four days and eighteen hours from Cape St. James till arrival in Hongkong.

The British ship Chinaman, from Saigon, nsporta first part of passage had fino wes- ther and light variable winde and calms, the latter part had light southerly wind and fine weather nuti) arrival in port. Thi British ship Carmarthenshire left Saigon four days before the Chinaman for kang.
