Hong Kong Royal Observatory is situated at Kowloon. Meteorological officer is on duty at airport for scheduled services. Weather reports, forecasts and upper-air observations are regularly available at airport.

Landing and housing fees are levied in accordance with Hong Kong Notice to Airmen No. 2 of 1987. Landing fees are assessed by maximum permissible weight of aircraft and range from $2 for aircraft not exceeding 1,200 lbs. to $36 for aircraft of 30,000 lbs. Housing fees are assessed by area of space occupied und range from $2 for aircraft not excceding 300 sq. feet to $56 for aireraft of 12,000 sq. feet for each 24 hours. Half these fees will be charged for aircraft accom- mmodated in the open.

For aircraft engaged in bona fide cross country flight no charge is made for use of aerodrome lighting system. Repairs are carried out by Far East Flying Training School, Ltd., and charges are based on standard English rates.
