(14)-Government Radio Receiving Station, Royal Observatory Grounds, Kowloon.

This station is used for reception only, being the main receiving point for all meteorological services, and the operating and receiving point for marine and harbour services, receives time signals from Nauen, Malabar and Manila daily, receives press messages from Rugby twice daily, and accepts and delivers telegrams to or from Kowloon. The equipment consists of 2 Marconi Type RG 25A Medium and Long wave Receivers, 1 Marconi Type RG 22B short wave Receiver, Marconi Type RG 28 short wave Receiver, 1 Marconi RP 17A Receiver and various spare receivers. Telegraph and emergency tone lines for communication with Government Radio Office.

Audio control point for the medium wave Broadcast transmitters installed at Hung Hom Station, Kowloon, and for the short wave Broadcasting transmitter at Cape D'Aguilar.

The European and Chinese studios, control rooms and offices are situated in the Glouces- ter Building, centrally located in Victoria, Hong Kong.

The control equipment comprises the usual amplifiers, with auxiliary apparatus, granio- phone turntables and microphones,
