1911.

The China Motor Bus Company, Limited, and the Kowloon Motor Bus Com- pany (1933) Limited, for the privilege of maintaining services of Motor buses on the Island of Hong Kong and the Kowloon Peninsula (including the New Territories) respectively for a period of fifteen years from the 11th June, 1933, shall pay certain foyalties or percentages based upon gross Annual reecipts.

The Hong Kong Telephone Co., Ltd., shall pay to the Treasurer, as a Royalty for the concession, on the 1st day of July in every year during the aforesaid period of fifty years, commencing on the 1st day of July, 1926, the sum of $4 in respect of each direct exclunge line telephone which has been used and paid for during the whole previous twelve months by a subscriber. Im cases where direct exchange line telephones have been used and paid for by subscribers for periods of less than twelve mouths prior to the 1st day of July in each year, the amount of royalty to be paid by the Company shall be $1 for each direct exchange line teleplione for each period of three months or less during which such telephone has been used and paid for by a subscriber.

The Hong Kong Tramways Limited, shall pay to the Government the

following Royalties, that is to say:—

(a.) From 22nd September, 1914, for the period of twenty-five years, a Royalty amounting to five per ceat, per annum of the profits of the Company.

(4.) After the said period of twenty-five years (22nd September, 1939) has expired andt for so long as die Company shall exercise their said rights, powers and authorities a Royalty amounting to twenty-five per cent, per annuum of the profits of the Company,

For the purpose of this section profits shall be the gross takings of the Company less working expenses, and such working expenses shall not be docmel to include any interest or dividends upon any moueys borrowed for the purposes of the Company.

The flong Kong and Yaumati Ferry Company, Limited, for the privilege of maintaining a passenger and vehicles ferry service for a period of fifteen years from the 12th June, 1933, shall pay certain royalties or percentages based upou gross annual receipts.

Unclaimed Balances,—

Indivisible residue and unclaimed dividends, and Interest on funds in Court

transferred to the General Revenue of the Colony.
