GOVERNMENT HOUSES, 1937.

HOUSES OCCUPIED AS RESIDENCES BY THE GOVERNOR.

1. Government House, Albert Road, contains:→

1. Drawing room, dining room, billiard room, Governor's office, Private Secretary's office, Aide-de-Camp's office, Custodian's office, conservatory, dining room, drawing room, card rooms and ballroom with roof garden, boudoir imaid's room, S bedrooms, dressing and bath rooms.

1. Kitchen block containing usual offices, servants' quarters and laundry.

1. Garage block containing garage, custodian's quarters, servants' quarters and store.

1. Stable Block with accommodation for three horses.

1. Military Guard House with accommodation for four,

The house is heated by coal fire and electricity and lighted by electricity.

Part of cost of roal and electric light is borne by the Government.

There are about 5 acres of garden and pleasure grounds maintained by the Government, Furniture, including plate, linen, crockery and glass, is supplied by the Colonial Govern-

1. "Mountain Lodge", The Peak. This is a bill residence ocempied during the summer months,

It contains drawing roont, boudoir, dining room, Governor's office, Private Secretary's A. D. C's, and stenographer's offices, & drying rooms, 7 bedrooms, dressing rooms, maid's room, and 2 servants' roomis, kitchen afed pantries.

The house has central heating and hot water supply and is lighted by electricity. Part of cost of coal and electric light is borne by the Governor.

There is also an extensive Servants' Block of 7 rooms including servants' kitchen, coolie quarters, laundry, store room for sedan chairs and gardeners quarters.

There is a police guard house with accommodation for 3.

The grounds extend to about 13 acres of which about 22 acres are garden and pleasure grounds, maintained by the Government.

1. Fanling Lodge, Sheung Shui.

This is a small country residence situated near the Fanling Golf Course. It comprises 1- 1. Dining room, drawing room, Governor's o flice, staff office, five bedrooms, dressing room four bathrooms and usual oflices.

1. Kitchen block containing servants' quarters, hoiler room, cal house, store and usual ollices.

1. Garage block containing store and quarters for two chauffeurs.

1. Stable block containing accommodation for three horses and quarters for two grooms.

1. Police guard house with accommodation for five.

The house has hot water supply, is heated by coal fire and electricity and lighted by electri- city. Part of the cost of coal aid electric light is borne by the Governer.

Furniture, including plate, linen, crockery and glass is supplied by the Colonial Government, There are about six and a half acres of garden and pleasure grounds maintained by the Colonial Government.
