The proportion of the total number of baths to the total number of patients is 1 to 10; the patients are bathed twice a week and oftener if they desire to do so; an unlimited supply of water is allowed for each bath; fresh water is given to every patient, and the supply of hot water is adequate. A responsible official or attendant is always present during the bathing operations, and he reports, in writing, to the Super- intendent of the institution as to the existence of any bruises, eruptions, deformities or other peculiarities he observes when patients are stripped.

*Seclusion" means "the enforced isolation of a patient by day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 pan, by the closing by any means whatsoever of the door of the room in which the patient is". The term ***eclusion does not apply to patients who are locked up in their rooms at night, as all patients sleeping it, single rooms are locked up.
