FUELS.

Imports totalled $16.0 millions as compared with $11.0 millions, and exports $510,000 us compared with $300,000.

Imports of Charcoal increased, from 280,000 piculs ($557,000) to 318,mm pien]s ($616,000),

Imports of Authourite Coal increased from Cojin0 tons (8552.000) to 74,000 tons (5892,000), mainly

from French Indo-China.

Imports of Bituminous Coul increased from 696,000 tons ($8.3 millions) to 822,000 tons ($12.6 millions). There were increased imports from North China, Japan, and the Netherlands East Indies. No imports were recorded from India and decreased imports from South Afrien.

Imports of Firewood decreased in quantity from 2.5 million piculs to 2.4 million piculs, but increased in value from $1.5 millions to $1.8 millions.

HARDWARE.

Imports totalled $6.9 millions as compared with $3.9 millions, and exports 85.2 millions as compare? with $3.1 millions.

Imports of Cutlery and Electro-plated ware increased from $457,000 to $653,000, chiefly from the United Kingdom and Germany,

Imports of Enamelware decreased from $258,000 to $218,000. Imports from. Japan decreased from $122,000 to $59,000.

Imports of Sewing Machines increased from $919,000 to $2.8 millions. Imports from Germany increased from $713.000 to $2.5 millions. Exports to Japan increased from $662,0ta to $1.9 millions.

Imports of Inenumerated Hindware increased from $1.5 millions to $2.2 millions.

Exports of locally manufactured Tiniure decreased from $456,000 to $399,000. Practically all exports were credited to China.

LIQUORS (INTOXICATING).

Imports totalled $4.1 millons as compared with $3.4 millions, and exports $1.4 millions as com. pured with $894,000,

Imports of Malt Liquors increased from 430,000 gallons ($971,000) to 453.000 gallons ($1.0 million). From Japan 125,000 gallons were received as compared with 148,000 gallons; from the United Kingdom 169.000 gallons as compared with 208,000 gallons; from North China $80,000 gallons as compared with 16,000 gallons.

Imports of Spirits (Brandy, tiin, Rum und Whisky) increased from 84,000 gallons ($1.3 millions) ta 02.000 gallons ($1.5 millions). Imports from the United Kingdom increased from €3,000 gallons ($1.1 millions) to 71,000 gallons ($1.1 millions),

Imports of Wines increased from 35.000 gallons ($355,000 to 36,000 gallons ($432,000).

Imports of Native Liquors increased from 207,000 gallons ($508,000) to 313,000 gallons ($829,000). mainly from North China and Maeno. Exports of Native Liquors increased from 159,000 gallons ($506,000) to 258,000 gallons ($898,000).

MACHINERY AND ENGINES.

Imports totalled $8.9 millions as compared with $9.1 millions, and exports $4.9 millions as compared with $9.9 millions,

MANURES.

Imports totalled $13.3 millions as compared with $8.9 millions, and exports $11.8 millions as compared with $10.2 millions.

Imports of Sulphate of Ammonia increased from 1.4 million piculs (88.6 millions) to 2.0 million piculs ($12.9 millions), and exports from 1.4 million piculs ($9.6 millions) to 1.6 million piculs ($11.0 millions).

METALS. +

Imports totalled $67.4 millions as compared with $41.0 millions, and exports $44.6 millions as compared with $37.0 milliors.

Imports of Iron and Steel Bars increased from 700,000 picul, ($4.1 millions) to 876,000 piculi ($7.6 millions); largely from Belgium and the United Kingdom, Exports to China totalled 892,000 piculs as compared with 417,000 piculs,
