7. The Taikoo Dockyard and Engineering Co., Ltd. Dry Dock: 787 feet in length over all, 120 feet wide at coping, 88 feet wide at bottom, 31 feet depth on sill H.W.O.S.T.
8. Are operations in progress to increase the depth of water —
(a) at the entrance and in the approach channel;
(b) in the case of enclosed docks, at the entrance lock, if any, of any important dock or docks;
(c) at the principal berths to 40 feet at L.W.O.S.T. (in the case of the berths at enclosed docks, L.W.O.N.T.), and is accommodation being provided for vessels 1,000 feet in length and of 100 feet beam?
If not, to what extent is deepening being effected, and for vessels of what dimensions (length, draught, and beam at that draught) is accommodation being provided or in contemplation?
8. (a) Dredging to 87 feet is in progress in the Eastern approach from Lyemun Pass to the Central Fairway.
(b) None.
(c) No operations are in hand to increase the depth at principal berths or to provide accommodation for larger vessels.
