SLAGGHTER-HOUSES :—

Sole privilege of slaughtering animals for the food of man within any part of Shaukiwan and Aberdeen granted by Tender for one year from 1st January to 31st December, 1929, for $4,500 and $2.100) respectively.

Sole privilege of the daily collection muil removal of blood and hair from the Slaughter-houses situated at Kennedy Town in the City of Victoria, and at Ma Tau Kok in Kowloon granted by Tender for one year from Ist January to 31st December, 1929, for $8,5741 and $3.540 respectively. Depôts for Cattle. Pigs, Sheep and Goats al Kennedy Town and Ma Tân Kok:— The fee payable for each bead of enttle housed in a Government. Dépôt shall be fifty cents when eattle so housed ure removed to any place other than the Slaughter-house adjoining such Depot or another Government Depôt, and the fer payalde for each pig, sheep and goat similarly honsed and removed shall be ten cculs, No fee is payable on admission..........

The Hong Kong Tramway Company, Limited, shall pay to the Government

the following Royalties, that is to say ;—

(a.) Freum 2nd September, 1914, for the period of twenty-five years, a Royalty amounting to five per cent, por annum of the profits of the Company.

(b). After the said period of twenty-five years (22nd September, 1939) Imus expired and for so long as the Company shall exercise their said rights, powers and authorities a Royalty amounting to twenty-five per cent. per annum of the profits of the Company,

For the purpose of this section profits shall be the gross takings of the Company less working expenses, aud such working expenses shall not be deemed to include any interest or dividends upon any moneys borrowed for the purposes of the Company.
