SURVEY OF STEAMSHIPS—Continued.

(e) For every additional boiler made to the same design by the same makers three-fourths of the fee is to be charged.

(d) For the survey of any other marine boiler intended for a ship, or of each boiler on board a ship when the examination of the boilers is not included in or covered by any other survey, one-half the fee is to be charged.

(e) The survey fee covers the issue of a certificate of survey if such is required.

18.(a) The following fees are to be charged for surveys and inspections other than those included in and covered by the survey for a passenger certificate—if made at the request, and for the convenience of, ship-owners, ship-builders, engine-builders, boiler-makers and others.

(b) For a certificate of inspection of any particular item, if required, an additional fee of $15 is to be charged and $5 for a duplicate copy or for an amended certificate when incorrect information has been supplied.

(2) These certificates are issued by the Government and not by the Surveyors who make the surveys or inspections.
