2. FEES FOR PAINTING NUMBERS ON JUNKS AND OTHER VESSELS

The painting and branding of numbers upon Junks and other vessels, as required by Sub-sections (5), (6) and (7) of Section 39, shall be done to the satisfaction of the Harbour Master, and by persons duly instructed in that behalf by him. The scale of fees for such painting shall be as follows:

For Trading Junks and Fishing Junks of 100 tons and above 50 cents
For all Vessels in Classes I, II, III and IV of Table U $1.00

LIQUOR DUTIES

Resolved that pursuant to section 11(1) of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 9 of 1911, on and after the 15th day of October, 1926, the duties to be paid upon intoxicating liquors heretofore or hereinafter imported into, distilled, made or prepared in the Colony shall be assessed as follows:

PART I. EUROPEAN TYPE LIQUOR

Description Duty per Gallon
On all liqueurs, and on all champagnes and other sparkling wines $10.00
On all brandy, gin, rum, whisky and other spirituous liquors $6.00
On all port, sherry and madeira $4.00
On all other still wines $4.00
On beer, porter, cider, perry and stout $0.07

On all intoxicating liquors above the strength of 18 degrees under proof, for every degree above such strength, in addition to the appropriate duty as above: $0.40 per degree.

PART II. CHINESE TYPE LIQUOR

Description Duty per Gallon
On all Chinese type spirits containing not more than 25% of alcohol by weight $1.20
For every 1% of additional alcoholic strength by weight $0.05

PART III. JAPANESE TYPE LIQUOR

Description Duty per Gallon
On all sake containing not more than 25% of alcohol by weight $1.20
For every 1% of additional alcoholic strength by weight $0.05
