36. Receipt, 5 cents.

Exemptions.

(a) Receipt for an amount not exceeding $10.

(b) Receipt given by a banker for money lodged or deposited with him and to be accounted for by him to the person lodging or depositing the money.

(c) Acknowledgment by a banker of the receipt of any bill of exchange or promissory note for the purpose of being presented for acceptance or payment.

(d) Receipt given by a banker indorsed on telegraphic transfer advice.

(e) Receipt given by an officer in His Majesty's service to any Government department.

(f) Receipt indorsed or otherwise written upon or contained in any instrument liable to stamp duty, and duly stamped, acknowledging the receipt of the consideration money therein expressed, or the receipt of any principal money, interest, or annuity thereby secured or therein mentioned.

37. Servant's Security Agreement which is chargeable with mortgage duty, 20 cents for every $100 or part thereof of the amount up to which security is given.

38. Settlement, 30 cents for every $100 or part thereof of the amount or value of the property settled or agreed to be settled.

39. Settlement executed in pursuance of a duly stamped agreement for a settlement, $3.

40. Shares.

(1) Transfer of. 20 cents for every $100 or part thereof of the value of the shares on the date of stamping.

Exemptions.

(a) Transfers of shares on share registers which are not required by law to be kept within the Colony.

(b) Transfers of share warrants to bearer.

(2) Transfer for a nominal amount, in the discretion of the Collector, $2.

(3) Share Warrant to Bearer, issued in the Colony, $1 for every $100 or part thereof of the nominal value of the share.
