REMARKS.
(6) Mr. T. H. Martin drew bonus at the rate of $100 per mensem for assisting in the performance of the duties of the Assistant Postmaster General during the absence from the Colony of Mr. N. L. Smith from 1st May to 30th June and from 1st to 30th September.
(7) Allowance for extra work on the arrival of an English or French Mail from Europe, and of a Canadian'or United
States Mail on a Sunday, on the following scale :-Salary $1,200 and opwards, $3 per mail : $600 and under $1,200, $2 per mail; $450 and under $600, $1 per mail. The allowance is doubled in the case of an English or French Mail arriving on a Sunday or holiday.
