There is an old sil- ver mine in Lantao and an abandoned lead mine at Uu In Gap, New Territories, A certain kind of clay is tunnelled for at Un In with which pot- tery is made. There is slate unquarried in Ping Chau Island, Mira Bay, but none of these places have ever been investigated.
